This take on the ruffle blouse is a mix of Swedish and French style - that pleated high neck reminds me of traditional Scandi necklines, and the embroidery is always approved by the bobo Parisienne. Thanks to London's Victoria & Albert Museum, I was able to attend the book launch of "London Uprising: Fifty Fashion Designers, One City", which compiles stories of world-known as well as more recently established London fashion brands.

I listened to a panel speak on the tome, then enjoyed drinks in the Silver hall, overlooking the V&A's beautiful courtyard.

It was thought-provoking to hear the co-editors, journalist Sarah Mower and Co-founder British Fashion Council Trust Tania Fares, discuss their experiences with institutionalized emerging London fashion, especially at a time when it feels as though the rest of the world is shifting its focus onto digital entrepreneurs who carve out their own paths.

As a London designer myself, it was specifically pertinent to hear about experiences from established names Nicholas Kirkwood and Molly Goddard.
